Completed Projects/Testimonials

Long Lake Hydroelectric Project This project consisted of the supply and installation of a complete electrical installation for a 250 man camp including dorms, kitchen, offices and recreation facilities. The main power source was from BC Hydro and included an 800 amp 120/208 volt distribution to the camp equipment. BV Electric also provided a complete generation container with two new 36KW Kubota Generators.BV Electric completed the project by providing all the technical service for the powerhouse as well.
Forrest Kerr Hydroelectric Project BV Electric is proud to have been Forrest Kerr’s primary electrical contractor from the start of construction in 2010 until the end of commissioning in the summer of 2014. BV Electric’s contributions at Forrest Kerr include the design, layout, and installation of a complete electrical system for a 400 man construction camp. The camp includes two 450KW, one 500KW and one 600V generators. The camp also has waste water and water treatment equipment, a modular kitchen and connecting dorms, a fuel farm, and a propane delivery system. With all electrical infrastructure energized for the camp, BV Electric then managed the complete installation of all electrical systems associated with Forrest Kerr’s Switchyard, Powerhouse, and Intake. The 725 million dollar project was successfully commissioned in July of 2014, on time and budget. Clean Energy BC has recognized Forest Kerr as the Project of the Year. In addition, Clean Energy BC has selected Forest Kerr as the 2014 winner of their prestigious award for Project Excellence.
Meziadin Junction Camp This project included providing a complete distribution container complete with two 600A services to feed a 100man camp. BV Electric also completed all the wiring of the modular trailers and permanent structures for the camp.
