Altares and Farrell Creek Shale Gas Operations

Canbriam Energy is currently developing its 60,242 net acres in the heart of the Montney Shale gas play in Northeast British Columbia.

About This Project

Canbriam’s 60,242 net acres in British Columbia lies in the heart of the Northern Montney shale gas play. Canbriam has tested both the Upper and Lower Montney zones in horizontal wells with very encouraging results. In May 2012 Canbriam commissioned a 50 mmcf/d gas facility with refrig capabilities. Canbriam has renewable firm capacity on the Spectra T-North sales line which intersects its land base.

Canbriam's operation represents the largest privately held land base in the Montney shale area and has an inventory of more than 1,800 development drilling locations. It has exposure to liquids-rich gas on a portion of the acreage and has an overpressure gas bearing section in a predictable setting of over 300 meters. This project represents a repeatable, low risk material development project with stable long life production profiles important to the continued growth of Canbriam.
