Fraser Lake Municipal Development Park
The municipality of Fraser Lake has developed an Industrial and Commercial Development Park that is ideally situated for mining and forestry suppliers to locate operations within the community.
About This Project
Fraser Lake has a proud history of major mine and forestry developments that continue to this day with significant investment ongoing with Canada's largest molybdenum mine. The community offers an extremely low cost of living, some of the lowest industrial and commercial property tax rates in British Columbia, the lowest electricity rates for industry in North America, inexpensive housing, and excellent quality of life for its residents.
Furthermore, the Village of Fraser Lake serves as an economic and social centre for the immediate area between Endako and Fort Fraser. Major industries include logging and saw milling, mining, tourism, agricultures, and government and service industries. With this major resource-based economic activity spurring additional development in Fraser Lake and the surrounding region, the municipality has developed a fully serviced Industrial and Commercial Development Park that is ideally situated for mining and forestry suppliers to locate operations within the community.
The development park borders Highway 16 West and is centrally located near the downtown core of Fraser Lake, providing direct access to local industrial facilities, international shipping via the Port of Prince Rupert, and international air transportation via Prince George International Airport.
The Fraser Lake Development park hosts a number of lots ranging from 0.46 to 3.73 acres in size. These lots are zoned for both heavy industrial, and light industrial activity. Industrial services on site include electrical service provided through a three phase electrical power system, natural gas heating fuel, fresh water supplied through the municipal water system, and wastewater disposal through the municipal sewer.
